Sun,singing,soccer and saving graces

Our first full day in New York we had the opportunity to attend Jordan and Henry's graduation party. Lots of food, folks and fun. The Napierala's rented a dunk tank. Below is a picture of Mike's mom making sure he takes a dunk by her hand:-) To the left is the karoke portion of the event.

Here we have Luke the next morning, trying, through osmosis, to learn 101 things everyone needs to know...or he may be sleeping!

After church and lunch the Dawleys and Lopez' joined us all poolside and a pick-up soccer game ensued.

Robert and Mitchell prepare to defend.
Anna looks to pass and Kevin tries to take Travis out of the play with no luck!

Karen takes on Kyle to show him she can still dominate him even though he is a foot taller than her.
Mitchell goes to extreme measures to keep from losing his trunks:-)

Travis is heading in for a goal. Look how serious Kevin is taking this? And he claims he is not a "type A" personality
Travis scored and now is taunting the opponent with lines from "The Office"..."how much does it hurt?"

Quinn goes to great lengths to slow Sam down

Taylor show's shes still "got it" even though she gave up soccer for the (IMO) stupid sport of volleyball which will be providing her with a college scholarship making it less stupid

Mandi and Sam go "head to head" or more appropriately "foot to foot"

Erin shows off the legs she inherited from her mother:-)
Even Abby got into the action...and scored a goal! Well, it was in her own net....but still...she scored!!

After soccer and a quick dip in the pool to cool off, we headed to the beach at Lake Ontario for a special church service. Mario and Michel gave their testimonies and were baptized. It was a beautiful evening and a great joy to share in this moment with them.

  1. well, I'm not thrilled that my captions don't match all the pictures but I'm not technologically advanced enough to figure it out and I want to go sit by the pool...so here it is:-)

  2. Well, I think it's great! Game pictures look really good...but then again, you are a pro at action shots...actually, every shot! Looks like a very fun time. I think it's great you were able to be there for the baptism too.

Dunk tank at a grad party? Now THAT'S a party! I'm SO doing that!

  3. Heidi we thought it was pretty cool because Mario and Michel are Samantha's Godparents so they were there for her baptism and then she got to be there for theirs:-)
